IH 884 High Hydraulic Pressure

Heavy hydraulic leak from the "unloading valve plug" if I held the loader bucket against the end of travel on a cylinder. After replacing all the dead o-rings in the "unloading and flow control valve", the "pilot relief valve", and the "flow divider", I repeated the test and split the "unloading and flow control valve" casting in half. There was an empty slot on the "flow divider" that exactly fit the o-ring in the parts book, but there wasn't an o-ring for the plug holding the flow divider. Did I break the pressure relief system by putting in an extra o-ring that should not have been there?
