Hi Stan, Anything is possible I guess, but I really doubt if it is your fuel pump. Usually, if a fuel pump gives up, you ride home on the end of a hook. Likewise, a plugged fuel filter produces the effect of a bad transmission with a lot of downshifting and late upshifts; although, this could still be your problem. But generally, when those things "cut out" like that, it is almost always secondary ignition related. First place I'd look would be the wires, cap and rotor. Also, another area to take a peek at would be that MAF sensor. They have a way of collecting "crap", but will usually set a code and turn on your check engine light at the same time. Dunno, hope you get 'er figured out. Allan
