George: I would have thought there would have been other replys by now.. I'll throw in 2 cents worth. It seems to me that wider spacing digs into sod\soft ground more and that can be bad if your just mowing. Mowing grass with least torn grass would be bald or closly spaced thread. Muddy conditions seem to favor wider spacing to help dislodge mud. Multi size bars seem to be favored by equipment traveling on paved roads like backhoes for less wear. Standard open "V" tread for general farming is still good choice.. Of course there can be differing opinions but I hope this gets this string a-rolling.. HR
