8n coil problems

I have a 12 volt 8n that keeps burning up coils! This is the 3rd coil I've gone through since I brought the tractor(less than 3 months). It runs great for a while then zap, another coil bites the dust! It's not practical to take it back so I thought I would go through the wiring harness and electrical system inch by inch to make sure the conversion was done right.

The last coil got so hot it cracked the plastic case on the coil!!

Doe's anyone know where I can get step by step instructions and a wiring diagram for a 12volt conversion?

Has anyone else heard of this problem?
