It's hard to compare what I had 30yrs ago to what I have today, somehow hindsight is a little skewed. Right now, I have 3 tractors running Armstrong's on the back. 2 with traditional long bar design, 1 with the short/long bar design. I do quite a bit of road travel (custom hay work), I do think the short long bar vibrates less on the road. But, I think the long bar tires are wearing better, & have better traction. I'd probably buy whichever I got a deal on. And despite the disadvantage of a 30yr time lapse, I still liked the Firestone Field & Road the best.
