It has come to my attention that you are concerned about a purchase your husband would like to make regarding an excavator. I understand that the cost is substantial and you have control of the funding. Let me assure you this is not on an expenditure but an investment. First, there is the value of knowing where your husband is. How many times have you come in to find him not there? Having an excavator, all you have to do is look out back and know he is not out chasing young women. As he will still be trying to figure out how to run it. Second, It will improve his social life. Within a very short time he will discover that all his so called friends are worthless bums that just want to borrow said excavator. Soon he will be taking you to breakfest, lunch, and/or dinner. Plus all snuggled up to you at night, instead of hanging out with the guys or boozing it up on the porch with his buddies til 2am. Third, Finally brake those annoying family ties. The BIL, FIL, SIL or MIL that you just can't stand and is always talking bout you behind your back will soon be on the outs. As they will not be able to compete with the new found butt kissin affection your husband will have for you. Last but not least, How many times have you just wanted to talk? Just say those four little words "Honey, lets just talk". It may appear to make him cry but those are tears of joy. As he pours out compassion and understanding. There will be no question he is ready to listen as he promply turns of the TV. He may appear to be distracted and looking out the window at the excavator but he's not (if he knows whats good for him anway) as he his concentrating on every uttered word.

Additional benefits - new ties for your car, having mom and sis come stay for a year, a new honey-do list as the current one will suddenly be complete, foot rubs, back rubs, errand boy, and all around fetch it grunt.

One word of advice though - If you do not already have, I spect you do, get yourself a big old cast iron skillet. That way there will be no question when, and/or if, there should be a relapse of any kind.
