Sumtin ain't right. Should slide on with modest pressure. Two stupid questions. Did you loosen the clamp? And when you said you cleaned the axle and hub did you just get the outside or get down in the splines? We adjust them in by jacking that side up and running a chain around the tractor through the wheel. Twist the wheel and It will go in. To go out we used to use a tree the same way. Now a bottle jack works much better. jt
