Bill I saw one of them in Farm Show on about an 8 ft. wheel on a belt pulley. A BIG old wedge was welded on one side and the whoole thing just kept spinning around. you had about 1.2 seconds to get rid of the split pieces and put another piece in place. Very unforgiving if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Can't see any way it could have been safe. Lefty.
