Hey Allan, need some advice

I'm rebuilding a 1955 ford 850 its going pretty good. I bought some new rear rims for it 12x28 6 loop. I ordered the rims acording to the tire size which is 13.6x28 ok all is fine untill I get the new rims, boy are they wide. so I measure the old rims, they are 10" rims. someone put 13.6 on 10" rims. I'm still ok I have the correct tires and the correct rims. now comes the problem, there are two piece weights mounted on the inside of the 10" rims. the weight and wheel center disc and rim are all sandwhiched togeather (all three pieces make contact with each other) with a bolt I want to mount these weights on the 12" rims but there is a 2" gap between the bottom of the weight and the wheel center disc so I'm thinking of a 2" spacer. a friend of mine says that I have to make a stud and bolt the rim and center disc togeather then the spacer then the weight. the weights are 443lbs a side, Im thinking too much weight too far out for a 5/8 stud 9 1/4 " long also it calls for a grade 8 bolt/stud all I can find is grade 7 .would a grade 7 be ok? hope you followed all of this. what do you think Jer
