Yesterday, Thursday afternoon, My neighbor and friend took me to the Lester Larson tractor museum on the east campus of the University of Nebraska here in Lincoln. Their hand outs say that they have over 40 tractors, and they have hay equipment, blacksmith equipment, woodworking tools, planters of various types, a number of plows of various styles, some hit and miss engines, and old outdated equipmennt that the tractor testing no longer uses. One of the tractors is a Ford (not relation to Henry Ford) that was such a lemon that the tractor testing lab was created in the first place. They have a Waterlou Boy, a friction drive Heider, 1917 Moline Universal and cultivator, 1918 Fordson, and many more. I would recomend it to anyone who has enough interest to be reading this web site. It is handicaped acessable, one of the volenters walked around with us, and even started one oliver crawler and moved it over about 2 feet so that my wheel chair would fit thru. Admission is a $3.00 donation. I don"t know if they go around with everbody, or if it was because I am in wheelchair. In my opinion it was time and money well spent. I"ll try and put a picture or 2 in photos from time to time.
