Sorry to hear about your eyes. It's truly a miracle. I stayed on the 7th floor of a hotel in Winnepeg when I had it done. After my nap I could read license plates on the cabs on the street below (although it was like looking through a fog). 3 hours earlier I couldn't read an alarm clock across the room. The next day I drove us out of the city as my wife isn't comfortable driving in that much traffic.

I ONLY invest in companies that I like/own some item of theirs. I feel that if it has made me a satisfied customer, it makes others as well. I make a point of not investing in companies that pi$$ me off and will sell stock if they do. WalMart will never see a penny of mine. Ok, maybe that's not so smart. But also when my broker was pushing Worldcom, I told him no way because of dealings I've had with them. Saved me big. For the most part, my buy and hold what I like and to hell with the rest has worked very well with a few exceptions, this one being the most noticable.
