Hi Dan, You can get sodium silicate from any pharmacy, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc: why I don't know as it's egg whites and you usually have to ask for it. About $5/pint Use about 1/8 pint while the engine is running and warm. Careful as too much will quickly plug up the cooling system. It will mix with green anti-freeze but takes less. Takes about 1/2hr of circulating to seal the pin holes in the head gasket. How a person can tell if sodium silicate has been added, is around the the filler neck there will white crystals. How to tell a blown head gasket is to look for black carbon floaters or foamimg in the water . T_Bone
