They are out there worth the money. Make sure you really want steam though. It is not a machine you can park and forget. They can lose their value very quickly in the hands of a neglectful keeper. They are big, awkward, not easily moved and expensive to run (correctly). I will own one someday. I gets in your blood and no way to remove it.
Value will fluctuate from near scrap to what ever $ amount a pristine machine and avid collector will agree on. Make sure you have someone that KNOWS his engines when you go buy.
