I'll bet it has something to do with the fact he lives in the middle of nowhere and has no competition for obsolete but good equipment. You and I, on the other hand, live in relatively population dense states where there is a lot of competition for obsolete junk ;-) Just look at the turn out for a relatively small auction in your area that has a 5000, 706, or 630 as the biggest, newest tractor... I couldn't believe the turnout at the last sale I went to over in Poynette, WI. The guy had a 60 and 630. None of his equipment(baler, spreader, disc, plows, mill, drill, planter, etc.) even had hydraulics. Musta been 500 people there! My opinion, take it for what it's worth!
