Need computer person help with video card!!!! Long

I am getting a error saying that the current selected video card can"t be used because it was written for a previous version of windows and is not compatible with this version of windows and that the system has been started using the default vga driver. And I need to update my driver. But I cant figure out how to tell what card I have except that it is nvidia. I am ok with computers but not the best. Can anyone lend me a hand.
