We have a Yorkie that at 6 months ate a grasshopper. She could not hold down any food after that. Finally got her to eat Cheerio's, but not much substance in them. Anyway, after five trips to our vet, then the State Lab in Ames, and a complete biopsy of all her innards, we found nothing!!! Doctor's in Ames put her on Prednizone (a steriod) and low residue dog food and she started to eat again. But, on the steroids, she gained a lot of weight, so we started to wean her off to 1/2 dose. Funny thing is, she quit throwing up EXACTLY one year later almost to the day. Never did figure out what was wrong!
