Hi Keith, The first thing I would do is dig a hole for about a hour as that will heat up the hydraulic oil, (thins the oil), and then tells just how bad the hydraulic system really is. If it's leaking on cold oil, you can just about bet it's running out with warm oil. Extend the loader and hoe to carry tractor weight, then shut the engine off as see how long it takes for the tractor to fall on the ground. That will tell you how many cylinders are internally leaking. A backhoe is nothing more than a money pit, probably more so than a motor boat. From what little info you gave, I would be surprised if you didn't spend $3ooo in parts to get it back to working to snuff on the hydraulic side. Engine parts would be above that. Cylinders are not that hard to rebuild, just takes time. Buy a set of manuals for it as you will need them. T_Bone
