I had a 1655 with a diesel engine and the problem with that was the starter was way too small, cranked but would not start. It was a common problem with Olivers, I even went to the auto parts and exchanged the type 30 Delco-Remi starter for a type 35 as I was told to do by some one and my parts guy at the auto parts said you must have an Oliver tractor.
