I live five miles south of Petoskey. A trip to Pelston on the 10th of Jan. 1990 with the temperture at 10% and 40 MPH winds at 2:30 AM to fix a telephone circuit was the final straw and I decided to retire after 40 years of telephone work. The circuit was not broke, the customer was asleep and did not hear the bell.
