I have a John Deere 8hp 27" wide 2 stage. It is an excellent machine. I use it for walkways etc as I have a 4wd truck with a blade and tractors for the bigger areas. The John deere blower is approx 12 years old and has been trouble free.It handled the 1993 blizzard where we got 4" of heavy snow . My father has a newer JD which is also a good machine. However I have been told that JD no longer makes the walk behind blowers, they are called "Frontier" - sold by JD dealers . Dont know how good they are.
