Thanks for all the responds. I bought the new tire but I kept the old one to fix later. I did not know about section repairs used on recapped tires.I always thought the tire carcass had to be in perfect shape to be used for a recap. I will look for a local recapper to see about fixing it. If not It will get a boot put in it. Its like every thing else. No one wants or can't fix anything just wants to sell new. The tire place I took it to was not your chain type car and mini van tire store. Its a place that deals with trucks and off road equip. And has field service trucks. I was expecting if it could be fixed they were the most likely ones to do it. Thanks again.
