Guy at the coffee shop seems much more concerned than I am about the cloudy plastic covers on my old Lincoln. He went on the internet and found a review of a kit by Permatex to polish them- basically, 4 pieces of sandpaper (1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 grit, used successively), then some polish. Works great, according to the reviewer. Trouble is, none of the auto parts stores I have asked have ever heard of it, and nothing about it on the Permatex website.
