Radiator hose and diesel

I had to replace the fill tube on my diesel P/U. the old one rusted and was leaking so I got a new one ($147 !!!!!) and thought I would replace the rubber connecting hoses. Got the larger one for the fill tube but Dodge has discontinued the smaller one for the vent tube. Went to several places and no one had a rubber line that big. (About 3/4-7/8") One place suggested radiator hose so I went with that because it was that or put a bucket under the truck every time I filled up. Anybody have an idea how this will hold up against the diesel fumes?
