The factory ones that you get from Case I H have a covering over the cable and hold up fairly decent and i think that you can get a sheilded one from NAPA.the biggest problem is whenwater can run down the cable and freeze we had that problem on the 580 C K Case back hoe since it was a gasser the choke was on top of the dash and would freeze upif left out in the rain just one time and it would seem like it would never dry out and if it was pulled outside in freezen tempatures it would freeze every time after nomatter what ya tryed so we made up a mounting bracket that placed it under the dash and out of the weather and that fixed it .
