Mornin' Leroy, An IH guy tells me that they are normally sloppy like that when they are shut off. Word is that they use the hydraulic pressure to tighten 'em up while running. Couldn't find anything else wrong so I've got 'er all throwed back together on that bottom end and will try to tear into that upper control valve this afternoon. I've had lots of guys telling me that the 'A' and 'B' capsules are a common difficulity on these things and that an o-ring leak at capsule "A" will cause these exact symptoms. Also, if someone somewhere along the line has switched the two (maybe to test 'er?), it will be weak in forward too, as the two capsules "look" alike but are completely different in their oil flow. I just can't imagine that the problem is anything major with this old cow. I mean that thing is a total monster when in reverse; just whimpy in forward. Thanks for the hollar, Allan
