I still have the two 6 volts in my 1650. Changed the wiring out to 2/0 and it is too big. Probably will got to 1/0 then should be able to get the trim plate back on the platform. I used solder ends on the cables and hooked the batteries up in series. Have added the heater in the lower elbow have not tried it yet. Thinking next time I buy batteries to try 2 12 volt instead also changing the cables to 1/0 if not done before. Make sure all connections are clean and tight esp grounds. Car cables are too small for that engine Good luck Ron
