I've got an '05 Ford PS.Plenty of power.Maybe too much. They're all trying to sell to the wrong crowd.I'd rather have reliability than all out HP.My old work truck was a F350,crew cab,4X4,and we used it hard.never skipped a beat.Tried like hell to buy it for my own.My brother has a late 90's 7.3,and hauls 3-4 times a week.No problems. At all,and he's over 150K.I do like the Cummins the best, esp. the old 12 valve. My oldest brother has a new Cummins with 6 sp and 4.10s that will outrun, outpull, and out mileage my Ford.A friend has one of the first DuraMax/Allisons.We all told him to stay away.New motor, aluminum heads on iron block, etc. He has had NO problems,at all,and hauls heavy equipment, tractors, etc. Talked to some folks a few weeks ago,who haul livestock for a living. They had a '98 Dodge dually, with over 700,000 miles on it.On third tranny (auto-had one BUILT the last time) and had shredded a transfer case.Motor has yet to be rebuilt.Good and bad in all flavors.I just wish trucks were still trucks.I don't need or want all the fancy crap.I had to really look just to get vinyl interior!
