Here in Quebec, all tractors, snowmobiles, ATVs etc must be licenced and you must have a valid drivers licence to drive on trails, roads, but not on your private property. In my local town, it is a common occurance to see tractors on the road, at the farmstore, hardware, etc. There was this one young lad whose thirst problem cost him his drivers licence. He then drove his ATV to town and managed not to get caught ,for a while, but all good things come to an end. No big problem,however as winter was here. Seems he was driving along the main street, doing very well at evading the police in their cars, until upon rounding a corner, he hit a pile of frozen snow that was left by a negligent snow remover. The boys in blue picked him up, the sled was in pieces. Weekend came, and he was out and about with his Mother`s IH674 and loader. That day he was cleaning pens, so the loader had the manure fork on. The boys in blue thought it strange that a tractor was parked at the local entertainment `palace`in the evening when there was no snow to do. When he left he saw the police car too late. A roadblock was erected. Now this was a scene that would have rivilled the Dukes of Hazard. The roadblock was cleared by pushing the police cars with the tractor. Not being content with that, he loaded the back of one car onto the other. It was quite the party. He did no time, but the fines............ To this day (2o years later) he has no licence. But it sure was fun!!!!!!!!! QR
