I have a chance to purchase a Hydra-Mac 1700 skidloader at work.I currently have a Farmall 460 with a farmhand trip bucket manure loader on it.Will the skidder take the place of my current rig?I dont have livestock or anything,I mostly use the loader for lifting and hauling dirt or various things around the place.I never knew I needed a loader until I got one,now I cant remember how I got along without it.The 460 is a good dependable machine;however,I can purchase the skidder for less than I can buy an arch frame loader and wide front for the 460.Any experience out there?Any body know good or bad things about a Hydra- Mac?Also,Ihave other tractors for PTO work and pulling things around.
