My son just bought us a 42" rear projection LCD tv (Sony)and it is great. The next size up would have been 50 something inch and would have been too big for me. I could have chosen a Plasma but he said it runs hot and doesn't last too long (has a very nice picture). For Xmas my daughter gave us a surround sound system and it makes everything so much better.
