Hi all, sorry for the OT, but you all are so helpful and I'm stumped. My son had a radiator hose break and food the alternator on his 94 Ford PU. the volt meter on the dash imediately showed that it wasn't charging. He took the alternator off anf took it to local auto parts store and it tested ok. He reinstalled it and it still showed not to work. After it sit at work all day he restarted and at first still no charge then all of a suddent it started to work. I cant start to understand this. He used air gun to dry it out the night before but still it didn't work for 24 hours. I'm afraid for him to drive too far in case thers a loose connection or something. Thanks
