What the 460 other then the carb and the dist. she was bone stock , and there was two other guys that had ran that tractor at the pulls and will back up the story and as for the oliver 88 she was not the only one that was in this area as there were and are still a bunch of V 8's around here in just about any kind of tractor . THE Haley boy made up a bunch of V 8 powered tractors and as far as the nicest one it had to be the 706 with a 549 I H truck motor that they farmed with . And one thing about me i tell it like it is . Now if you doubt me go get your self and old 460 gasser and remove the govener and hook up the throttel direct add and 806 carb and all i can tellya is hang on and MAKE SURE THAT THE ROAD IS STRIGHT. OH put and electroinc tach on her and see just how far it will go . The 390 we had it so that it would not go over 6000.
