I'd have to agree that unpainted does give a good contrast. I normally don't paint them myself...but, if you want it to be "correct" by how it was originally done, it would be painted. I have a friend who recently restored an HV, and did a remarkable job...he paid big bucks for a new wiring harness and really had a hard time painting it, (emotionally), but the finished product really looked cool.....it made it stand out as most people who do a ground up DON'T paint the wiring...so it was something different, and, as you can guess, generated a lot of conversation. I'm about to redo a 1940 H and I think I"ll paint the harness just to see how it comes out.....BOTTOM LINE...do it however makes YOU happy.... it's YOUR tractor. Too many people get hung up on how a tractor HAS to be to be "correct". You gotta remember, there were differences in tractors as they came off the line...the decals weren't always EXACTLY in the same place, there were runs in the paint, and maybe the bolt heads on an assembly were painted or maybe they weren't depending on sequence at the time...These things were meant to WORK, not be "pretty". (that being said I think I'll go out and wax my unstyled JD B after i remove the sheets and dust cover and turn up the heat....hehe) :) See how it looks unpainted...if you like, you can always paint it...its hard to take the paint off though once its on. You have to decide if Originality is your goal, or personal preferance.

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
