The oil capacity for both the 7.3 and the 6.0 are @ 15 quarts. However, the filter for the 6.0 is much higher than the 7.3, but they have increased the oil change interval by 50%. The fuel filter package for the 6.0 is also much more costly, but I understand that the fuel filter change interval has been doubled, from 15K to 30K. I buy the oil filter and oil for mine at Wal-Mart and will buy the fuel filters at NAPA when it comes time. I also believe that 99 per cent of the people claiming 20+ MPG out of 6.0 do not have a clue on how to measure mileage. The closest I have ever come was a little less than 20 in both my 97 and 99 2WD 7.3 automatics. My 2002 7.3 and 2005 6.0 4WD automatics seem to get right at 16.5 on the highway, and maybe 14 around town.
