Isn't the service for oil change longer than that of the 5.4 gasser? I know it still wont come out even, but with the new 5.4s not getting very good mileage, it could be a good thing to have. Do you know what kind of mileage you are getting unloaded? It will definatively be driven a lot more unloaded than loaded, mostly highway driving. Also, does anyone know if the 6.0 is better suited for higher highway speeds than the 7.3 (mileage wise)? Thanks for the help so far. Hurst

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
