I also have a 24' gooseneck trailer and have asked the same question. I called every agency possible to get a straight answer and got a different BS answer with each phone call. Even got different answers calling the same agency and talking to a different person. Frustrating. I only use my trailer for farming and haven't had any trouble from the law yet, keeping my fingers crossed and doing the best I know how. I've heard that if you pull a trailer for other than farming it must be licensed according to how it's being used and you must also have a CDL for combination vehicles. Wish I could find a clear cut answer.
