Does working on the family farm count? If it does I've been working there since I was around 10 and I'm 25 now... When I was 16 I worked for a neighbor running farm equipment - it was OK, but he gave me all the crummy jobs and I burned out in a month. When I was 18 I washed dishes for 1 day before I quit because it was a rotten job for me. 18 - after washing dishes I got a job in a tire shop fixing/changing tires and light mechanic work while going to college. Did that for about 8 months and then went to a different college. 22-23 - working for another farmer for a couple years. Learned a lot from him. Now I'm a 6th grade teacher. By far the best job I've had so far - in regards to time off, pay, etc. I would rather farm, but without big time acreage it won't get me where I want to be. So I'm teaching and working with my Dad during my vacations and the summer time.
