Wow! My animals are already national ID compliant. I did it when I registered and tag them as calves, and it didn't cost a thing. I don't see the big deal. With things like foot and mouth, mad cow, johnes, PI bvd. National ID will only help track these things, Ultimatly making meat and dairy products more marketable worldwide. We Americans a fat and happy, but some socialist country would rather starve it's people then import a cow that has a miniscule chance of having mad cow. Also it helps protect us from ourselves by making it more difficult to import questionable animals from 3rd world countries, this happens now more then you think.
