Po Folks is absolutely correct. You need to be using an over running clutch for safety as well as performance. Without the over running clutch, the sidewinder cutter could cause an accident as the tractor can be driven through the PTO even with the main foot clutch disengaged. This could result in the inability to stop the tractor. The sleeve you keep breaking must be to adapt the PTO from 1 1/8" dia. to 1 3/8" dia. When you get the over running clutch get one that will not require the spacer. The over running clutch/coupler is available at www.agri-supply.com for $34.95 for the 1 1/8" and $36.49 for the 1 3/8".
