No bull about it should be a ford or a dodge. I am trying to offer advice, am an avid Chevy fan and diesel fan so am not bashing you your truck or anything. Some problems locally (now starting to get solved)(were huge problems in 00, 01), The duramax was Gm's first major seller in the diesel world. Many dealerships up to the Duramax had never sold a diesel. Many dealerships did not have a diesel man in the shop, or had one that knew a little bit. About all they knew, about diesels, is they didnt have spark plugs and had an injection pump. Therefore , many of the new duramaxes that had slight problems or any problems wound up getting more screwed up each time they went in. My point is make sure the dealer has a diesel man and a competent diesel man. Some small town dealers I know of 2 still do not have a diesel man thats competent or certified. Most dealers ahve sent at least one guy to school by now. HOwever some of the small town gm's around here 1 dealer in particular will goof around w/it until it is roally screwed up and hten ship it somewhere else. Just my 2 cnts so you dont wind up w/a bigger problem. Shouldnt be a big deal just have to iron the wrinkles out of a new shirt.
