Hi again Old, good fun discussion, YES I realize you know it cant be done, so this is just tp discuss the big picture you call it so maybe we can all get that big picture you spoke of:

This all goes to the reasons a Perpetual Energy Machine cant work, it violates the laws of thermodynamics and conservation of energy physics principles. Theres no ideal machine that creates more energy then is put into making it run, as friction and other often heat related losses use up some part of the energy supplied into it. It takes more energy to run any generator then it develops, cuz theres friction heat losses and the magnetic inductive coupling involved in a generator isnt perfect either.

Be it a tractor or motor generator combination or any type of Heat Engine or anything,,,, YOU CAN NOT CREATE ENERGY (only change its form, but remember you loose energy (often friction heat) in the transformation) and the bottom line is whatever energy you put into a machine you get less out UNLESS ALL THE MACHINE WERE IDEAL AND PERFECT and say it had no friction (heat losses) and all its components were perfect lossless devices WHICH AINT POSSIBLE.

You or no one can produce an ideal perpetual motion type of device. True if you had a hermetically sealed adibatic enclosure and could capture and preserve the heat a machine developed you maybe havent wasted it, but to transform it back into a form of energy you can use takes another energy transfer device and again, theres no ideal lossless type of machine.

Soooooooo it takes energy to run that ford tractor and no matter how or what types of devices you use to get energy out of it, you cant get more then you put in. Next figure the cost of the gasoline to run it and any cost savings from heating your house or the electricity from a generator it drives and if you use some sort of heat engine driven by its exhaust heat energy its not gonna provide more energy then was put into it either. Whats gonna happen when she runs out of gas???

Sooooooo, YES it will work for the Ford tractor to provide heat and electricity SO LONG AS YOU PUT GAS IN IT but if you have a device to convert its energy to a form that will keep it running (maybe some sort of exhaust powered heat engine etc to turn it when the gas runs out) and heaitng your house and providing its electricity I WANNA INVEST IN IT. Likewise if someone develops a machine process to use exhaust heat to make gas to run the tractor WE BETTER INVEST ALSO

Great n fun discussion Old

John T

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
