I had the same "opportunity" on my 26 acres here in Oklahoma. Since I live on the 26 acres I decided I wanted to keep "exclusive" use of my place to myself. That is if you really ever have Exclusive use of your own property with easements and all. My sisters neighbor has his property leased and every day someone is flying down the road to service the well. I talked with another friend of mine who had a lease on his homestead and he said "all they want is the check, dont care about fences or privacy or anything else, just the check." He was really glad when the well finally quit producing and the lease expired. So unless you really need the money you might want to ask around and see how owner occupied leases are being handled. The lease is also something that can be bought and sold, so the first party may or may not be the one producing the wells.
