Now I happen to live in Northern Canada, but the same things are happening here to. The pressure to dig oil and gas wells is tremendous in my area. Most nabours that have a well on their land say it is more trouble than it is worth. I have a fairly large acreage {1800 acre}all in a block. I would not have them drill within eye or earshot. Nor do i want them to interfere with the way I operate the ranch, that is to say me having to open or close oilfield gates in order to get around the property. I have been able to resist these companies so far but the pressure is on. Having said all this ,on small places like yourself I would want the oil companies to buy the whole place outright if the owner don't want the hassle and trouble of the noise and traffic this drilling causes. After all how many years will it be like that. Now aparently you seem to own the mineral rights on your land, so I don't know how much revenue you would be able to extract out of a well. It probably is not going to make you rich?? We canadians on the other hand don't own mineral rights . The goverment does. So all we would get is a few thousand bucks per year out of a wellsite plus all the inconveniance. personally I rather have them go pis up a rope somewhere. My two cents worth
