I don't know about it being exactly the same tractor. I believe that Farmtrac is what has evolved from the old Long tractor business. The Farmtrac site has a link that will allow you to replace the engine in your Ford 3000 and 4000 series tractors with a new engine from them. They say that these engines are the same engines that came on these tractors originally and are now installed in the Farmtrac tractors. The tractors are made in India and seem to be pretty well designed. I looked at one the other day and was impressed. I do notice that the 435 is a mechanical steering model, so that might factor into your decision as well. Tim
