sloroll I really dont know for sure. Right here we are about 20 mile from ADM peoria and Aventine in pekin and it depends on the weather but with just the right weather you can detect a hint of corn squeezings in the air. Most people probably dont notice. As far as the steam, well, I suppose that depends on the weather too. There are times we can see it from here but not very common. I would have no idea how high that would be. The land is flat from here but it looks pretty high but once again not that often. I have never heard of any problems with a ethanol plant in regards to these issues but maybe someone else has. I'm not sure exactly how much corn these two plants use everday but it is a huge market in central illinois. They almost always bid over the export terminals on the river and they get alot of rail corn from the west. Aventine is currently building a second plant next to the one they allready operate. There has been alot of talk about building a plant near canton but it hasnt happened yet but it is supposed to be coming soon. bill
