A couple years back while driven big truck with a 3406 -550 cat it started to get hot as the water filer that had been on it had built up a coating on the inside of the radatior and the boss got a couple bottels of some stuff and for the life of me i do not remember just what it was but you drain out the antifreeze pull the stats out and fulush with water then fill with water and addone of these bottels and run the engine with the rad. covered and get the engine temp up to 190-200 degrees and run it for a half hour then drain and re do it again you would not beleive all the junk that came out then you flush and add this other bottel to nuteralize it but the stats back in and then for sleeve portectshion youuse this new stuff that does not build up on the inside like the old stuff did here again i do not remember the name of it . but it did the job and it did not overheat again . And saved pullen the rad.
