If you buy a military vehicle intended for road use make sure you get a clear title when you make the purchase or you will never be able to license it ever. Most retired military vehicles go to schools, municipalities, fire departments, civil defense, or our native Americans first before they end up in the general public. They are either loaned to these entities or are sold to them. If loaned, the forest service keeps the title. If the the vehicle is purchased by the school, etc, then the title is probably held by the school, etc. The vehicles can be found, you just have to keep your eyes open. If you are from NW Iowa, It might be worth it to go to the Albert City Threshing Show the second weekend of August. They have a good display of WW2 and Korean vehicles. Good luck, Jim
