These big Deeres are really impressive to look at and watch. They are for the people who have verrrrrry deep pocketbooks and a lot of time to work on them. Think about it you are grabbing onto something with a rear tire as tall as the average small tractor and will probably kill a $500.00 bill to replace it. All Deere parts are platinum plated when you price them. But they are really fun to look at and watch. I worked for a Deere dealer lots of years and really loved to hear them working in the field.They just aren't for the guy with a shallow pocket book. Otherwise though they are really something to see!

12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
