Guess I never heard that issue raised. In our part of the country we use hoe drills that ridge the dirt between the planted furrows (for wind erosion and to protect the new plants from wind over the winter). The hoe do a good jobs of erasing the wheel tracks and yeah the planting depth in the wheel tracks may be a little shallower but no problem. The guys that do no-till with disc drills do the same. HTH
