Mazda has a service bulletin for the torque. I don't know how to copy it and paste it on here. I will write it down. If you looked down at the head, start with the second bolt in from the upper left, then the third from the lower left, third from the upper left, second from the lower left, first from the upper left, first from the lower left, the far upper right bolt and last, the far lower right bolt. The torque specs are as follows. There is a note about installing the intake manifold and torquing the head and intake bolts alternately to ensur proper fit and gasket crush. First torque is 52 ft-lbs. Then tighten the intake manifold bolts/nuts. Tighten all cylinder head bolts 90 degrees in sequence. Hope this helps.
